the 13th European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behaviour has taken place in Rome between September 1st and 4th 2010. On the basis of your feedback it has been a successful event of high quality. We wish to thank for this all participants that brought to the event their precious contribution. More than 800 delegates registered to the congress representing 64 nations in all continents. The Congress included 7 plenary sessions, 70 parallel sessions and 4 poster sessions for a total of over 500 scientific contributions.
Moreover, three Awards dedicated to Andrej Marusic have been assigned to three young researchers in the field of suicidology: Carmel Mc Auliffe, Marcus Sokolowski, and Holly Wilcox. The journal Archives of Suicide Research will publish the three best posters presented during the Congress.
We are proud to affirm that the main theme of the 13th ESSSB, the integration of various components of suicidology has been debated and discussed appropriately with a successful and reciprocal enrichment between young and senior researchers.
We would like to thank you again for this opportunity. We will be very pleased to meet you again in Tel Aviv in 2010 and in Tallin in 2014.
